一、论坛简介
华南农业大学紫荆国际青年科学家论坛，旨在汇聚海内外不同学术背景优秀青年学者及高层次英才，来华南农业大学开展学术交流，共同探讨国际科学前沿、热点研究领域以及行业产业技术问题等。通过这个平台，互相启迪，开拓视野，加深友谊，促进合作，共同发展。
二、学校简介
华南农业大学是全国重点大学，是一所以农业科学和生命科学为优势，以热带亚热带区域农业研究为特色，覆盖农、工、文、理、经、管、法等多学科的广东省高水平大学重点建设高校。现有农业昆虫与害虫防治、作物遗传育种、农业经济管理、果树学和预防兽医学5个国家重点学科，农业机械化工程1个国家重点（培育）学科，农业科学、植物学与动物学两个学科进入ESI（基本科学指标）世界排名前1%。拥有开展科学研究的良好条件，有亚热带农业生物资源保护与利用国家重点实验室等7个国家级科研平台。
校园坐落在素有“花城”美誉的广州市，初步形成了“五湖四海一片林紫荆校园”，环境优美，气候宜人，是难得的宜居宜业佳地。
三、论坛学科领域
从事生命科学（含生物学、兽医学、作物学、园艺学、植物保护、林学、草学、畜牧学、水产学）、食品科学与工程、农业资源与环境、生态学、农业工程、林业工程、化学工程与技术、风景园林学、人文社会科学（含管理学、经济学、法学）等领域。
四、申请条件
1．海（境）外青年人才：年龄原则上不超过40岁；具有国内外知名大学博士学位，且在海（境）外从事科研工作2年以上；在相关研究领域已取得一定成绩或具有良好发展潜力的优秀青年人才。
2．国内优秀青年人才：年龄原则上不超过40岁；已入选中组部“青年千人计划”或“青年拔尖人才”、青年长江、国家优秀青年基金获得者，或者相当层次、具有良好发展潜力的优秀青年人才。
领军人才和杰出人才可适当放宽年龄限制。
五、报名方式
请申请者填写《华南农业大学紫荆国际青年科学家论坛报名登记表》/rsc/userfiles/file/20170302/20170302100319_71655.xls（附件），并发送至电子邮箱：xswyh@scau.edu.cn。
受邀者将会收到主办单位的参会邀请函。
六、时间安排
1．2017年4月8日前，申请者通过电子邮件提交个人资料。
2．2017年4月15日前，学校确定参会人员，发送邀请函。
3．2017年5月10日，参会人员报到。
4．2017年5月11-12日，论坛主报告、分领域报告、参观座谈等。
七、差旅及食宿
受邀参加论坛的学者自订往返机票（经济舱），主办单位据实报销。参加论坛期间，主办单位统一安排食宿（免费）。

1．Forum Introduction
Chinese Redbud Innovation Forum for International Young Talents (Chinese Redbud Forum),SouthChinaAgriculturalUniversity, aims to gather outstanding young, talented scientists and high-level talents of different academic background from all over the world to carry out international academic exchanges, explore research academic frontier, hot research fields and industry technical problems inSouthChinaAgriculturalUniversity． This platform is provided to get mutual inspiration, broaden horizon, deepen friendship and promote cooperation for common development．
2．School Introduction
As one of the National Key Universities in China, South China Agricultural University (SCAU), is a high-level key cultivated university in Guangdong Province, embracing agriculture, engineering, liberal arts, sciences, economics, management and law studies, which takes agricultural sciences and life sciences as advantages, and takes agricultural research of tropical and subtropical regions as a highlight． The university has developed 5 national key disciplines, Agricultural Entomology & Pest Control, Crop Genetics & Breeding, Agricultural Economic Management, Fruit science and Preventive Veterinary Medicine, and 1 national key (breeding) discipline, Agricultural Mechanization Engineering． According to ESI ranking, Agricultural science and Botany & Zoology have ranked the top 1%．Scientific research is well-facilitated by 7 national research platforms, for example, the National Key Laboratory of Subtropical Agro Biological Resources Protection and Utilization．
Situated inGuangzhou, the “city of flowers”, SCAU enjoys beautiful scenery and pleasant environment both for residence and work, which initially formed the landscape of “five lakes, four seas of grass, one forest on Chinese Redbud campus”．

I．Life sciences (Biology, Veterinary science, Crop science, Horticulture science, Plant protection, Forestry, Grass science, Animal science and Fishery science);

IV．Ecology;
V．Agricultural Engineering;
VI．Forestry Engineering;
VII．Chemical Engineering and Technology;
VIII．Academic Landscape Architecture；
Ⅸ．Humanities and Social sciences (Management, Economics and Law)．
4．Requirements for Participants to Apply
4.1 Overseas Young Talents: generally no more than 40 years old; hold a doctoral degree from a world well-known university; engaged in research work overseas for more than 2 years; has made certain achievements in a relevant research field or with great development potential
4.2 Domestic Outstanding Young Talents: generally no more than 40 years old; has been selected for “Thousand Youth Talents Plan” or “Young Top-notch Talent ” by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee; Young Yangtze River Scholar, Distinguished Young Scholars of The National Science Fund; or with great development potential
As for the Leading talents and Outstanding talents, age restrictions could be opened．

6．Schedule
6.1 April 8, 2017, the deadline for submissions of personal information via email．
6.2 Before April 15, 2017, short-listed participants will receive the letter of invitation．
6.3 May 10, 2017, participants check in for the meeting．
6.4 May 11-12, 2017, the main report, field reports, visits, etc．
7．Travel and Accommodation
Travel expenses（economy class）will be reimbursed． During the forum, accommodation will be arranged．
